Mecca of Sterling Mist’s cria

Mercury Marquis, ARI # 822755 is a fourth generation medium silver. Coming from the phenomenal bloodlines of Platinum Marquis and Uma, he was bound to be great from the moment of conception. His sire, Platinum Marquis, ARI # 850795 owned by Brad and Jandy Sprouse, Great Lakes Ranch, has proven himself nationally in the show ring, 2004, with 3 Championships and Reserve Championships at the three largest shows in North America, AOBA, AAA Futurity and MAPACA.

Mercury has the luster and lock like Platinum, his sire, which are so remarkable. He is a full Peruvian with accoyo blood from his grand dam's (Silverbelle) side (Bruxo, Uribe, and Helios). Silverbelle was the Reserve Grey Color Champion at both AOBA and AAA Futurity in 2002 as well as the highest selling suri alpaca at the 2002 AOBA National Auction.

At shearing this year (May 08), Mercury was said to be a fiber machine.  Over 9 inch staple length! We were told to shear this guy twice a year from now on as fiber can not be processed when it is that long. After shearing, the luster on Mercury was exposed and what luster it is! This boy shines like the morning sun. He is just gorgeous.  Judge Shannon McConnell, at the Ok Blast Off show, told me Mercury had more luster than is usually seen on a grey, (Judge McConnell said Mercury was his favorite animal out of the group that was in the ring, which was a composite group of multiple colors due to the small show size).

Mercury Marquis is now breeding. Introductory rate is $3000. We can't wait to see what Mercury Marquis produces, as he has all 3 of the silver grey shades in his fiber.

If you have been wanting to add the greys to your herd - don't pass this one up!

We will consider mobile breeding if we can get 3 farms on the route. Keep your cria's at home to enjoy - they grow so fast.
